Acea, a publicly-traded company, operates in Italy's environmental, energy, and water sectors.

The main challenge was effectively communicating with its 5000 employees and instilling a culture of self-improvement company-wide. This was quite a task given the size and diversity of the workforce. The question was how to convey this message in an engaging and lighthearted way.

Acea Heroes was born as a platform to create a friendly environment for nurturing soft skills in a low-stress manner. After extensive research on the staff, it was found that the gaming world of the 1990s was a common interest among all employees. The concept revolves around the idea of 'leveling up' for each individual, both personally and subsequently in their work.

An app was developed to offer various cross-cutting content to entertain and assist each employee in unlocking their potential. This included a daily live radio broadcast, weekly interviews with prominent figures in the realm of personal growth, and a section with dedicated video courses starting from hobbies and side activities.

A series of events were organized to celebrate the start of a new chapter for Acea, including office installations and a range of monthly activities to integrate into the routine, motivating employees to participate.
